The Society for Promotion of Good Grammar hits a brick wall in the South. The Scotch-Irish stubborn refusal to learn - sticking with their "traditions" and Ebonics - is changing English into Cavemanglish. I substituted for first graders once and even their reading books are using double negatives. Countrywide, the invasion of Spanish is making an agreement with Cavemanglish: double negatives rule. It is hopeless to use the old standards.
Not using such stupidity myself but not getting my intestines into intusseption, the reason I am finally giving into The Fall of Grammar is the fact that language does evolve. Whatever the common people are using will eventually become the vernacular. Cavemanglish has been in the public influence Big Time since the beginning of radio days and country music. It stayed with the hippies, and now it is their kids and grandkids who are etching this deconstruction into granite. Grammar is at a Worst Case Senario, and is all one hears in music, high schools, and even with grad-school graduates. Oh My Gawd!

Thou doesn't speak like Shakespeare any more, n'est pas?
